At Midtown, we believe there’s no stronger foundation for well-being than a connection to something bigger than ourselves. 

 

This month, everything we offer – from our classes and events to our active communities and summer programs – is designed to empower you to prioritize your mental health. We’ll be creating opportunities to connect, learn, and rediscover the strength that comes from feeling supported, because we’re stronger when connected 

 

Join us this month as we explore the power of community in bolstering mental health. Read on to learn more about our vibrant calendar of offerings for the month, like Mindstrong, Saturday Samadhi workshops, and more. 

ELEVATING YOUR EXPERIENCE

What’s Next in the Club Transformation: Keep an eye on your inbox for exciting openings, including the top-of-the-line men’s locker room opening, a beautiful new entryway that will make a stunning first impression, and Midtown’s first-ever co-working space: the Library. Additionally, The Shop is now open, stocked with everything you’d need for a day at the club. 

EVENTS

OUTDOOR POOL & HARD-COURT TENNIS COURTS OPEN | MAY 1 

It’s almost summer, which means all our outdoor spaces, including the outdoor pool and hard-court tennis courts are officially open for the season.  

NEW SEASONAL MENU | MAY 7 

We believe that self-care starts with what you put on your plate, so come explore delicious dishes designed to fuel your well-being and leave you feeling energized. Our new menu launches May 7, in The Café.  

MINDSTRONG | MAY 18  

Join the Movement for Mental Health at Mindstrong: All day on May 18, join us for Mindstrong, a day of fitness, tennis, and social activities designed to raise awareness and donations to support mental health. 100% of event proceeds & donations will benefit Hope for the Day, as they empower individuals and families affected by mental illness through support, education, and advocacy.  

 

Can’t Make It? You can still support. Midtown will donate $1 to H.F.T.D. for every member check-in on May 18. You can also directly support Hope for the Day’s mission all month long, here.

MINDSTRONG LECTURE | MAY 18 

As part of our day-long Mindstrong event, psychologist Michelle Rago will be giving a lecture on anxiety and mental health.

THIRD THURSDAY TRIVIA | MAY 16 

Join us in the Café from 6:30 – 7:30 pm for Trivia Night, hosted by Pub Trivia. Light bites will be provided.  

MEMORIAL DAY BBQ | MAY 27 

Join us poolside from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm for a fun BBQ to kick off the summer. 

FITNESS

SATURDAY SPECIALTY WORKSHOP IN SAMADHI: MAY THE FOURTH BE WITH YOU, BECOME A YOGA JEDI | MAY 4 

Return of the tree pose. Savasana strikes back. Finding your inner light. No need to be a Star Wars fan, this noon class with Ashley S. will include fun flows, bad puns, and ways to help you channel your light side as we learn to quiet the mind and move the body. Feel the force flowing through you as we explore breathwork techniques to calm the mind and center the soul. Each pose will help you tap into your own inner balance and resilience. Whether you’re a Padawan or a Jedi Master, this workshop is designed for all levels. 

SATURDAY SPECIALTY WORKSHOP IN SAMADHI: A MORE MINDFUL MOTHER’S DAY | MAY 11 

In celebration of all mothers and MINDSTRONG, join us at noon for a practice dedicated to the practice of mindfulness. 

SATURDAY SPECIALTY WORKSHOP IN SAMADHI MINDSTRONG EDITION: BETTER BALANCE | MAY 18 

Focus your inner and outer balance with Sarah P. at noon: we’ll begin with breathwork and meditation, followed by Vinyasa focused on balancing poses, and tips on how to find better physical balance. All levels welcome. 

SATURDAY SPECIALTY WORKSHOP IN SAMADHI: TAMING THE MIND | MAY 25 

Grace K. will lead this practice with multiple methods to tame and quiet the mind, including breathwork, mantras, and OM.

Our Summer program registration is live, offering activities for all ages and skill levels. Led by supportive coaches, connect with yourself and others while having a blast this summer. It’s more than just exercise – it’s about being stronger when connected.

YOUTH MATCH PLAY | MAY 18 

Velocity players will be introduced to match play in level based, fun sessions. All match plays are for players ages 6-13 training on red, orange and green balls. Click on the link to browse specific levels and times.

Join Coach Krisztina for mixed doubles fun on Wednesday evenings. Tennis and your first drink are included.

KIDS NIGHT OUT | MAY 17 

Everyone needs a night out, including kids. Children ages 3-12 are invited to Kidtown for a night of age-specific activities including dancing, dodgeball, arts and crafts, and more. Kids must be potty-trained.
