At Midtown, we believe that a healthy weight (or a toned, strong body) is just one component of what it means to be fit. No matter what your goals are, our trainers and instructors strive to create and deliver fitness programs and classes that will help you be the fittest you can be and obtain the quality of life you want. And of course, we always add in a little fun.
Midtown offers hundreds of group classes per week, held in state-of-the-art fitness studios and dedicated cycling studios. With so many classes to choose from, including all the trend-setting new workouts, you’re certain to find a fun way to get fit. Our group classes, including Zumba, Pilates, yoga, and cycling are tiered by level of difficulty and each class offers a different benefit, whether your goal is to burn calories, tone up, boost cardiovascular endurance, improve your game, or add some flair to your moves on the dance floor.
CARDIO AND CORE CONDITIONING
Keeping your cardiovascular exercise varied and interesting not only improves your overall fitness, it improves your chances of sticking with a workout regimen. Midtown offers pure cardio classes as well as mixed cardio and strength training classes from traditional step aerobics to cycling, kickboxing, martial arts, and dance. Challenge yourself by changing up your routine or attending your favorites in a motivating and fun environment.
And if you are looking for a solid core workout, you’ve come to the right place. Most of our group fitness classes include core training segments, and we also offer 15-30 minute core-specific classes certain to prepare you for your next trip to the beach.
For those interested in building lean muscle, burning fat and improving overall health, Midtown’s strength training classes are a great way to do so in a motivating environment. Classes include exercises designed to help you build strength and balance out muscle groups set to toe-tapping music, and we vary our routines at just the right time to “shock” your muscles with something new. You’ll never get bored doing biceps curls at Midtown.
We believe personal training should get personal. Our expert trainers make sure every weight you lift and every lunge you perform is custom-designed for your physical needs. Whether your goal is to lose weight, build muscle, improve your backhand, or rehabilitate an injury, working with a certified trainer can help you accomplish your fitness goals with better results in less time. If not, we’ll take it personally.
You will find no shortage of the newest, state-of-the-art cardiovascular equipment including treadmills, elliptical trainers, stationary bikes, StairMasters, StepMills, and rowing machines, all with plasma TV screens attached or nearby. Plus you will find various options for strength training including weight machines, free weights, kettlebells, medicine balls, and resistance bands. There are designated stretching and training areas, TRX and ViPR stations, and many of our clubs have cushioned indoor tracks that circle the fitness floor. If there is a cool new training modality out there, you can be sure it’s at Midtown.
