    Tina, member since 2004
    In 2004, I became very ill. The medication made my muscles and joints so sore that even slightest movement was painful and difficult. My doctor suggested yoga as a way to combat the side effects. That’s when I joined Midtown.

    I began to take yoga classes daily, sometimes even twice a day. The instructors were always friendly, gentle and encouraging. My confidence grew with every class, and I was able to transport myself to a more peaceful, stress-free place, pushing the sickness out of my mind.

    Slowly, my aches and pains began to disappear and, within a few years, yoga and the support of the Midtown community had replaced the pills completely. Today, I continue to practice yoga and I’m happier and stronger than ever, which has a positive effect on my relationships with my family and my kids. What’s more, the damage done to my bones and muscles has been repaired - something I never thought was possible.
